The Monmouth u3a Ukulele Group (MuUG) enjoyed our “Monstock” adventure back in sunny 2025. It was a first opportunity (for most of us) to perform in front of the general public and the fabulous weather meant we could perform outside. We had 2 slots – first playing in front of the “Punch House”, where the outside customers were enjoying the weather, a drink and our music. Here we experienced the perils of wind when using paper music sheets. Our second venue was at the The Robin Hood Inn and our Bass player, Phil, hauled his equipment through town in a black box on wheels! At “The Robin Hood Inn” there was a marquee and stage erected and a good sized friendly crowd that happily joined us in several songs.
A very successful afternoon which the ukulele group enjoyed and the audiences too, with £106 raised for our chosen Breast Cancer charity .
